Dick Russell named to Evergreen Board

Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries announces that Dick Russell of Emerald Bay, Bullard, Texas, has been named to the Board of Trustees.

He has served on the Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries Inc. board twice and has been a member of Friends of Evergreen since its inception.

He is retired from International Paper after 38 years in the wood resources and manufacturing divisions. Russell received his B.S. in Forestry from the University of Georgia and his M.S. in Forestry Business Management from Duke University. He served as chairman of the board of the American Wood Preservers Institute.

Dick served as president of Emerald Bay Club and HOA for a year during his three-year term as a board member. After completion of his term, he became a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for kids. He and his wife, Carolyn, are members of Emerald Bay Community Church where he is co-chair of the Benevolence Committee.

Russell and his wife have two daughters, a son and two grandchildren. His son, Randy, is in the Evergreen program at the Winnie Place home in Lake Charles , La.
