Marwood B. Meredith Jr. is the new vice president of development for Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries.
Meredith was previously vice president for Advancement at Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University, where he developed a $17 million capital campaign plan. He has also served as vice president for development at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, where he received his Master of Divinity, and director of planned giving and church relations at Tusculum College in Greeneville, Tenn., where he received his B.A. in Philosophy and Religion.
Meredith was head of staff of Ridley Park Presbyterian Church in Ridley Park, Pa., from 1980 to 1994. He is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church U.S.A.
He is a current speaker and seminar leader for the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada and a featured presenter at the Oxford Roundtable, Lincoln College, Oxford University, England.
Meredith has been active in the Rotary Club and United Way. He and his wife, Kathy, have three children.
Evergreen, a ministry of the Presbyterian Church (USA), Synod of the Sun, is a not-for-profit, premier provider of services to nearly 800 people with disabilities in five states. It is headquartered in Bossier City .
