EVERGREEN NAMES NEW PRESIDENT

John Taylor, a lifelong Shreveporter, has been named president of Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries Inc.
He replaces Dr. Bernard Wagner and becomes only the fourth president in Evergreen history.
Taylor has been on the staff of Evergreen since 1978 in several management positions. He has been a vice president of operations since 1989.
Taylor has a B.S. in Psychology and an M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern State University. He is a graduate of Byrd High School.
Taylor served his country in the Marine Corps in Vietnam. He is a member of the American Association on Mental Retardation and served as Louisiana president in 1992-93 and Region V treasurer from 1998-2000.
Taylor and his wife, Susan, have a son and daughter.
Evergreen, a ministry of the Presbyterian Church (USA), Synod of the Sun, is a not-for-profit, premier provider of services to nearly 1,100 people with developmental disabilities in five states. It is headquartered in Bossier City, La.
