The Private Providers Association of Texas (PPAT) has presented its Commitment to Quality Award to Bernard Wagner, Ph.D., president of Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries, headquartered in Bossier City.
The Commitment to Quality Award is presented each year to an individual who best represents the overall mission of PPAT in the category of quality management. Total quality management calls for a continued process of quality checks within the system, and continual improvements; developing quality culture; and ongoing involvement with the customers to ascertain wants and needs. Quality culture is comprised of employee involvement, a strong leadership and consensus of commitment in achieving customer satisfaction.
PPAT is a non-profit organization representing both for-profit and non-profit providers of community-based services to approximately 8,000 Texans with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities.
The award is sponsored by the Irwin Siegel Agency Inc.
Evergreen is a not-for-profit service agency/mission of the Synod of the Sun, Presbyterian Church, serving nearly 800 people with disabilities in five states.
